Góral-Lach Ethno Małopolska

Góralsko-Lachowska Etno Małopolska

Fundacja Ignatianum is running the project “Góral-Lach Ethno Małopolska”, purchasing traditional regional costumes from Małopolska for members of the Góral Studies Center (Centre for Góral Studies) at the Institute of Modern Languages, Ignatianum University in Kraków.

The purchase will include garments reflecting the diversity of ethnographic groups represented by people involved in the Centre, including the Orawa and Podhale Górals and the Limanowa Lachs. The costumes will be made using traditional patterns and techniques, respecting local differences in style, cut and ornamentation.

On 11 December 2025 at 5 p.m., a research symposium was held in the Great Hall (room 208) of Ignatianum University, combined with performances by Góral and Lach folk groups and a presentation of the costumes of Góral Studies Center members.
